A Letter from our Producer Karin Justman,
I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who showed up to our first Stuntacular Fundraising Event. And also those of you who could not make it but donated anyway. We know times are tough right now, but the fact that so many of you came out to support the cause really means a lot.
Our goal for the "2009 Halloween Stuntacular Show" is to raise $100,000.00 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The average WISH costs approx $7,500.00 per child who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. That means,... if we reach our goal we can make dreams come true for 13 children and their families!!!! When I say "we", I am talking about Stuntmen and Stuntwomen from all over California coming together to help a child live their "dream" like we get to live ours on a daily basis.
Last night we hosted our first ever "Stuntacular Fundraiser" at Skinnys. It was a night filled with great entertainment... from comedians, to singers and live bands and of course a few fun raffels thrown in the mix. Oh ya.... and we can't forget Elvis!!!!! This money raised will go to the production cost of the show. As you all know, it costs a few pennies to put together a show like "Halloween Stuntacular". In the past, Andy Dylan has pulled a lot of that money out of his own pocket to put together a show that he believed in. He also got some amazingly generous donations to help out with some of those costs. This year, the show production is growing leaps and bounds and our goal is to raise enough money so we can put the show on to levels that will do it justice. We will still be looking for those donations as well, (in case anyone has great contacts with lighting, sound, tresses, rigging, etc...)
There were many people that spent countless hours, volunteering their own time to help put together such a successful Stuntacular Fundraising Event!!! It goes without saying that these people should be recognized and thanked. So..............
Very special thanks goes to...
